My studio! This is where I work and spend 90% of my time. It might not look like much but I am so happy to have my own personal space to carry out work. From the window I have a view of Arthurs seat and when it’s sunny the space is bathed with warm light. I love working in here which mainly consists of: Planning plotting and generally scheming about what to have for lunch.
Hello and welcome to the secret page of my website. Chances are if you’re looking at this page you are an existing client or you are someone I would love to work with. The problem with the internet is that it demands you give away lots of your personality and I am not into that. I like to be fairly inconspicuous and on the internet I like people to basically just see my art. Not me as a person. However If you’re someone I work with I think I owe you a little more than the average follower. On this page you’ll find out more about me. My work, my process and the most important part of the whole equation. My dog. Ralph.
My process will be really familiar to some and maybe not so much for others. On the off chance you haven’t worked with someone like myself before this is how I usually approach making an image. Once I have been given a brief I will read through all the available information and references. If there is sufficient time for the commission I will do research and produce three or more concepts if required, these will be the bones of the potential image. This is intended to give an idea of the composition of the potential image and convey the concept. These are usually quite rough in that it’s a point to save time and not become too precious with ideas. I am always conscious that whichever treatment I am most fond of are for my own personal reasons. The Art Director will always have points to consider that I wouldn’t imagine at first.
